I'm Aya — an Edmonton-based artist painting bold, one-of-a-kind work in heavy acrylics. Loud colour, real texture, and pieces that are never made twice.
I work across canvas and custom hand-painted sneakers, and take on a small number of commissions each season. Everything here is made by my own hands in my studio.

Art has always been how I make sense of things. What started as filling sketchbooks turned into canvases too big to ignore — colour-soaked animals, characters and scenes that carry a feeling more than a likeness.
Today I paint full pieces, custom commissions and one-of-one sneakers for collectors who want something with a pulse. If a piece speaks to you, it was probably made for you.
